OUR VISION
The big vision for this ministry is to build a place that parentless children can call home. A place where they can receive all of their basic needs, spiritually and physically, and develop skills for continued sustainability and growth. With the Lord’s hand upon us, we will purchase ~10 acres of land and development of the grounds and several buildings:
Church chapel
Community well and water gathering area
Sports fields
Dormitory with capacity for 150 children
School building
Medical clinic
Cafeteria/multi-purpose building
Motor pool garage and storage
A future for children in Uganda–built from the HOPE and presence of Christ
One man in Uganda - called to the ministry of helping orphans and widows in 2006. An orphanage of over 100 children by 2021, but with no sustainable resources (no licensed organization) meets a small group of men–disciples and pastors in a multi-state (WA, CA, OR and TN), multi-church group initiated in Vancouver, Washington, USA.
Mugisha Roberts received the Holy Spirit call and vision for an orphanage. The vision included many elements that seemed far too great and impossible, but in faith he took one step and then another and then another. Every step resulted in more opportunity to serve and thinning of resources but he pushed forward knowing that God would provide. The future vision included land, a school, fully functional orphanage, hospital and more. Elements of the same vision were shared by the Holy Spirit with a man among the men’s ministry group–bringing form and function to the impossible vision.
In January 2022 the men’s ministry group decided to commit to temporary relief in the form of a financial collection and donation. The amount received was nearly double the amount anticipated. By May 2022 licensing is complete for formalization of a CBO (Community Benefit Organization) in Uganda.
Hope was abstract and lacking in form or function until now.
